| open the color palate on any track, 3 finger salute and click and hold anywhere in the palate while raising or lowering the mouse. this is the method on mac. i don't know the key command for pc. |

| Hi evh, From a production standpoint, this technique has been around since before computers were recording. Kenny is just replicating the technique on a computer. The music in this particular video is purely demonstrative. I do see where you are coming from, much music is very produced and in some ways contrived or built in a studio nowadays, but at the same time, this technology is also used to capture very pure performance as well. It does what the end user wants. |

| why couldnt you just send a bus from the original vocal to a bus and put the exciter on the bus why do you need two auxes |

| one aux was for vocal fx. the other aux he added was a control aux so he's able to control and fx BOTH the original vocal and the backup vocal within the same channel. its easier because what if you find a good volume balance with just the two vocals, but if later you find out it's not balanced with the rest of the song, you dont have to play around with two channels getting the right volume. just one. basically another master fader just for the vocals |
