I've got around 40 tracks of audio on Cubase VST. Now, what I want to be able to do is to separate all those tracks onto a 48 channel mixing desk, but I only have stereo outs on the PC. What hardware do I need to separate the audio tracks on Cubase? Cheers.

You need a audio interface with as many in/outputs as you want. Or use a digital mixer with 48 channels.

if your mixing desk is an O2R96, then just get hold of a MOTU 2408 MKIII and the respective ADAT cards for the O2R96 and sync it up via 3 ADAT light pipes.
