I have ableton live and vengeance essential house samples but in this video you are creating kicks and calps etc via MIDI. The Vengeance I have are audio,not midi. How did you do this? Do I have a wrong sample pack?

this is more showing off than instructional - he's got more tracks with Full edition, but you can do it with LE by dragging a Kit from Live Device Browser [Impulse, everyone should have this] into a MIDI track- on a PC, hold left mouse button and drag into Track Title Bar. Then, double Left-click on the Clip below the Title Bar, displaying the MIDI Note Editor below, letting you program your beat. Let me know if this Helps!! briangus i am currrenty in trial so I have both 3 of the edition (LE,Full and Instrumental). I also do use Impulse but the sets of the drums it has aren't the ones he uses in the video. His are more house (house kicks and snares and claps etc). I think he has some other MIDIs for drums. I also made a search and I couldn't find VST Vangruard synth. I agree he could be more like explaining but anyway very nice video just to let us know the possibilities we have.

I wish that i loved house music because it's so easy to make. No offence to the uploader of the vid but it is so much easier to do than reggae in pc studio programs. I've been playing around for two weeks now with a midi keyboard controller and ableton live 7 and it's not easy. The program is so deep that you can take it any level you want. If anybody is playing reggae with ableton then i would love to hear and learn from you, just click om my name and send me a message.

The one he is using is Vengaence. You can google it or search in torrents. There are many different like essential house electro house etc.
