Joe Calzaghe is a legend whom earnt his way to the TOP, its his final fight and he deserves to pick who he wants
Calzaghe VS Jones will attract a huge audience all over the world in comparison to Calzaghe VS Pavlick.
Pavlick is a good fighter, but when you put him beside Roy Jones its a different story altogether. It does not suggest Jones is a better boxer then Pavlick (which in 'IMO' he his) its the fact that Jones IS a legend and deserves to fight Calzaghe a whole lot more then Pavlick

1) b-hop - 43 years old
2) kessler - untested and would be clearly outclassed against any elite fighter at the time.
3) lacy - overhyped/overrated
other than a 43 year old hopkins, joe never fought an elite fighter. eubank was already at the end of his career and that too k place over 10 years ago. joe said he wouldnt fight rjj b/c he's washed and he'd rather fight pavlik..

Hopkins just wanted to hold all night and back pedal. Joes a natural counter puncher but if he didnt chase Hopkins it would have been most boring fight ever so Joe forced to not fight his natural fight.Also when Hopkins knackered he pretended to be hurt by low blow to buy time. Joe should bow out beating Pavlik then retire as best British fighter of all time.

what do you want him to do? fight an "elite" like pavlik who was positively destroyed against the 43 yr old you just named. in the same fashion calzaghe destroyed lacy, pavlik was just found out later.
