people turn out fine when they are bottlefed. but breastfeeding is much more preferable when possible, especially because of the colostrum that is secreted the first 2-3 days after birth. the colostrum is rich in antibodies that are transfered from the mother to the baby and play a large part in keeping the baby healthy from the millions of bacteria in the air the baby breathes in just the first hour out of the womb. i was bottle fed, but i think that breatfeeding is preferable when possible
