I will be posting a new video shortly. As I stated before, this is the long way of doing it. You can do it much faster without changing the project tempo, and using the warp from here option. Once you get the first few markers set, the rest of the markers pretty much fall in to place. For the p

if i warp a mp3 and i have my bpm set at say 125.00 (when i warp the track), if i need to change the bpm because it aint fast enough for what im gonna play live, do i need to re warp the tracks that i warped at 125.00 bpm again to say 135.00

I found out bellow the faders there's a hidden track delay that should fine-tune the beat grids (kinda ableton pitch bend funcionality). How would you perform a precise time beat jump? ilovemusic: I don't know how to tap an individual channel for the BPM yet though I haven't seen a pitch slider on a fader funcionality.. I wonder how (that's my missing link actually). regards..

what do YOU do when you have the crossfader at the middle - both tracks are audible to the audience - and yet the tracks even "pre"-warped they go off sync ... what do you use as a pitch-bend ? or you just pull the crossfader back and rewarp in cue ?

no, once a track is warped you can play at any BPM. You can even change BPM during track play.

great tutorial!!! can you actually take samples out of original tracks? i mean take vocals out or or take the say bass or guitar out???? or have you a tutorial on remixing? you got placebo's vocals in this, how do you get just the vocals?

thanks man, i got the same mixer. the nuo4 is sweet. wat do u do with the channels 2 & 3 (the midi channels?) and how do u mix more then 2 channels from ableton? (i also have a m-audio soundcard that has 2 stereo outputs like yours)

you are correct, however it makes it a bit easier to warp the song when you have the master tempo set to the original songs tempo. this is not required, and I have mentioned this in an earlier post.

Just play them. Once warped they will be set to the master tempo at the top left of the ableton window.

Ya I'm feelin this right here. I jus discovered the power of ableton about a yr ago. And that quicker way to beat warp was def helpful. I was sittin at the cpu going one beat marker at a time for whole songs!!! lol So ya, once I actually sit down and study the program, really learn it. I might rule the world r some shh

all the warp tutorials I see are warping beats. How do I warp acapella vocals to go along with the warped beat? The vocals never seem to line up and I have 80 or so cue points. Is there an easier way? Thanks!

Nice vid. I have my Xone 92 setup the same way. If you want to go crazy with effects and stuff you can buy a UC-33 to add to your setup. 24 rotary knobs, 9 faders and 16 buttons for triggering clips loops etc is uber :) It is pretty cheap to.
