I have mixed feelings about this guy. I admire his accomplishments and I respect his convictions. On the other hand, I do not have any mixed feelings about this video. This is a painful and terrible song even if it was intended as a self-parody, which I don't think it was. This is simply awful, awful music no matter how much slack you cut him for being a famous weirdo. He has been a force for good, but he lives in a reality-distortion field. That is never a good thing.

Also, don't confuse Linux with GNU. Most Linux distributions do come with GNU tools, but the GNU and Linux projects are separate. Linus Torvalds is the King of Linuxland. I have no reservations about Linus. He's managed a good balance of a pragmatic management style, while still trying to do what's right for the community. He's opinionated, but rarely polarizing. And to the best of my knowledge, he does not sing.
