once you assign the knobs/faders etc, how do you then save the set up that you've created?

when you save the song it'll save all your controller settings. So everytime you reopen your song it'll be the same setup. If you have a setup you would like when starting all your songs, just save the setup you make as a default song and your good to go.

in this tutorial I am using the M-audio Ozone. It plugs in through usb and gets recognized easily in Ableton (otherwise go to your preferences/midi section and choose your prefered controller). hope this answers your question.

you can also go into preferences and choose 'save template' so all ur midi assignments are there every time...

hey man, im new on using ableton and i just got my self a new keyboard AKAI MPK49, i cant seem to assign my sliders etc!! help!!! i tried to do it your way but it wont work somehow
